Crown Vic Rules

The intent of this division is to provide an affordable, entry-level way to enter stock car racing. Keeping the cars stock is the top priority.

Eligible Cars:
1992 to 2011 Ford Crown Victoria, Mercury Grand Marquis, or Lincoln Town Car.


BODY

  • Remove all glass and trim
  • Remove headlights and taillights (may be covered with sheet metal)
  • Doors must be welded
  • Hood and trunk must have a minimum of two (2) hood pins
    • All locks must be removed
  • Stock steering column required
    • Quick-disconnect steering wheel permitted
  • Dash may be removed and replaced with sheet metal
  • All airbags must be removed
  • Front bumper may be replaced with Allstar #ALL22352 or equivalent

Body Clarifications

  • No gutting of hood or trunk
  • No swapping aluminum hoods or trunks from other years
  • If it did not come factory on your year model, it is not allowed

WHEELS & TIRES

  • Stock steel or aluminum wheels only
    • Factory Mustang wheels permitted
    • No racing wheels
  • All four (4) wheels must be the same size and offset
  • Approved tire sizes only:
    • 235/55/17
    • 225/60/16
    • 215/70/15
  • All-season tires only
    • No performance or directional tires
  • Tires must be 400 treadwear or higher
  • No cutting, siping, or soaking of tires

ENGINE

  • Must remain an entirely stock 4.6L SOHC engine
  • Pump gas only
    • Fuel kill switch may be relocated or a master kill switch added

SUSPENSION

  • Suspension must remain stock for make and model
  • All replacement parts must be OEM or OEM-style stock replacements
  • Adjustments allowed only as factory adjustments permit
  • Springs must be stock and identical side-to-side
    • Maximum ½” difference in uncompressed height
    • No progressive springs allowed
  • No air ride systems permitted
  • Front and rear sway bars must remain factory with factory links
    • Front and/or rear sway bars may be removed completely
  • Maximum of 2 degrees camber in the right front

TRANSMISSION

  • Must remain entirely stock
  • No stall converters allowed

REAR END

  • Must remain entirely stock
  • Maximum factory gear ratio: 3.73
  • Factory posi permitted
  • Spider gears may be welded
  • No aftermarket lockers allowed

ROLL CAGE & SAFETY

  • Seamless tubing 4-point roll cage only
    • No kickers, no front bars, no rear bars
  • X-braced main hoop behind driver
  • Minimum of three (3) door bars with vertical bracing from top to bottom
  • Cage tubing must be 1.5” x .095”
  • Frame must have minimum ¼” steel plate welded where bars connect
  • Approved racing seat and 5-point harness, securely mounted to cage
  • Working fire extinguisher or fire suppression system required
  • Properly mounted window net required
    • Window net optional with full containment seat
  • Battery may remain in stock location or be moved behind driver or to trunk
    • Must be securely mounted and covered if relocated
    • Master cut-off switch highly recommended
  • Radiator must contain water only
  • Exhaust:
    • Maximum 2.5” pipe
    • Must exit passenger side or rear
    • Catalytic converter may be removed

COMMUNICATIONS, SCORING & SPOTTERS

  • RaceCeiver (or equivalent) is required for all drivers, every race
  • Driver must have an in-car receiver and it must be operational any time the car is on track
  • Spotters are allowed

  • Transponders are required
    • Transponder rental is available from the track

PROTEST & CLAIM RULES

  • Visual protest only: $25
    • Must be submitted 30 minutes before the event
  • Protest up to three (3) items: $300
    • $100 acceptance
    • Track keeps $100
  • Engine or Transmission Claim: $700
    • Intake included
    • No other bolt-ons
    • Track keeps $100
    • $500 buy-back
  • ECU Claim: $125
    • $75 buy-back
