The 4-Bangers Division is designed as an entry-level, affordable division focused on competitive racing, driver development, and cost control.
Eligibility
- Drivers competing in the 4-Bangers division may not have won a championship in any division higher than Stock4.
- Any driver is subject to being moved up to the Super 4-Bangers division at the discretion of track officials at any time.
General Rules
- 4-cylinder Front Wheel Drive vehicles only.
- Naturally aspirated engines only.
- All SEHA safety rules must be met.
- Driver must have all safety items, dated within 5 years of race day.
- Containment seats required for drivers under 18 years old.
- Window net or arm restraint required.
- Only pump gas allowed — No E-85, racing fuel, methanol, alcohol, or oxygenated fuels.
- Maximum 3″ offset / backspacing wheels.
- OEM, aftermarket, or racing wheels allowed.
- Stock Chevy Cavalier wheel NOT allowed on the right side of any car.
- Safety hubs required on GM cars.
- Minimum weight: 2200 lbs (includes driver and all fluids).
- Raceceiver or equivalent required.
- Radios and spotters of any kind are strictly forbidden.
- Mirrors are allowed.
- Transponders required (rentals available from the track).
If it’s not listed in this rule package and you can use it to your advantage or to save money — run it. It’s fine.
Breakout / Time Cap Rule
The 4-Bangers division at Franklin County Speedway will have a Breakout Rule.
More details to be posted soon on time cap, time and procedures for penalties, failure to adhere to penalties and communication of said penalties.
